BPAS staff – take action
Tell your MP to support an amendment to the Domestic Abuse Bill to decriminalise abortion, support us in providing abortion care, and protect pregnant women in abusive relationships.
This amendment would decriminalise abortion, ensuring that victims can access safe legal services, and protect vulnerable women from criminalisation if they use abortion pills bought online. This amendment would also strengthen the law around non-consensual abortion, making it easier to prosecute violent partners who end a woman’s pregnancy without her consent.
We know that for women we see, abuse can be a real issue – and we know that there are many more who cannot get to us in the first place because they’re required to come into a clinic. We need to ensure that our telemedicine options can be continued – and the best way to do that is to change the law.
